  • Membina kelembagaan dan manajemen usaha produksi hortikultura yang efektif, efisien dan profesional
  • Mendorong terciptanya kebijakan dan regulasi yang diperlukan dalam pengembangan produksi hortikultura.

  • Meningkatkan kemampuan dan ketrampilan SDM agro bisnis hortikultura serta penguatan kelembagaan usaha hortikultura

Sasaran pembangunan hortikultura tahun s/d 2015 adalah :

  • Meningkatnya produksi hortikultura rata-rata 6,30 persen per tahun.
  • Meningkatnya mutu dan daya saing produksi hortikultura.
  • Meningkatnya kompetensi dan kemampuan usaha sumber daya manusia hortikultura.
  • Meningkatnya kelembagaan usaha hortikultura.
  • Tercukupinya kebutuhan konsumen dan industri olahan hortikultura yang mutunya tinggi dan aman konsumsi.
  • Meningkatnya kesempatan kerja, pendapatan petani dan pelaku bisnis serta pendapatan nasional dari usaha hortikultura.
